Still in Fargo for the Weekend to Remember conference. Before the conference, I got to the YMCA at 6:00 a.m. to get in a good swim and some weights. The swim was great! After the conference, before our date, I again went to the YMCA to get in an 8-mile run on the treadmill. Workout time: 2 hours. Felt good today, but a little sluggish on the last run. The WTR conference was long today - nothing new.

Heather and I are heading to the Weekend to Remember conference in Fargo today. I took off work, since we were leaving around noon. I rode for 2 hours on the trainer in the morning, while watching Braveheart. I also lifted weights for 30 minutes (back). When we got to our hotel, I ran for 4 miles on the treadmill. Total workout time: 3:05.
The Weekend to Remember conference was OK - a lot more fun spending time with Heather than going to the conference! Nothing new at the conference, but it was nice to get away for a weekend together.
Got up early today to get in my workout. Was up at 2:45 a.m. to do some work, write a Valentine's day card for my sweetheart, then get some firewood, and do some other household chores. Made it to the YMCA by 6:00 and got in a 6 mile run (2 on the track, 4 on the treadmill), 30 minutes of weights (legs and shoulders), and 30 minutes of swimming. Felt pretty good again today. Workout time: 1:45.
Had a good day today working out. Lifted weights for 30 minutes in the morning (6:00 a.m.). Also ran 4 miles in 27 minutes. In the evening, I ran another 10 miles in 1:11, and swam for 20 minutes. I also did some weights (legs) for 30 minutes. Total workout time: 3 hours.
Took both days off as I was too busy with work and home to get a chance to work out.
Spent an hour on the trainer today and a half hour weight-lifting (arms). Jeff preached a good sermon at church on spiritual gifts. I worked for a few hours getting ready for a presentation on Monday at work, and we had Jeff and Wendy and Kirk and Christina and kids at our house in the evening.
Today was a decent training day. Relatively mild weather for a February in Minnesota (tomorrow will be another story!!). It was 20 degrees this morning, and reached mid-20's throughout the day. Winds were relatively calm. I had a very busy and stressful day at work, so I was unable to get out for a lunch-hour run. Thus, my training today was limited to my ride in in the morning (18.5 miles in 1:11, slight headwind), and my ride home at 5:30 (18.5 miles in 1:08, fairly calm). We had a small group study in the evening at some friends.
Well, it's been a while since I've commuted to work on the bike, so I thought today would be a good day to start again. I took the month of January off the road commuting and substituted nice warm rides on the trainer in the basement! 5:00 a.m. greeted me with 8 degree temperatures and a stiff 15 mph NNW wind. However, I was dressed for the occasion and the 19 mile ride went fairly well. I managed a rather pedestrian pace, arriving at my office at 6:09 a.m. The ride home was a little more difficult, as the wind switched more from the west. I made the trip (18.5 miles, as I took a shortcut) in around 1:17. I find the bike commuting a nice way to get a couple hours riding in while also clearing my mind before and after work, something I find myself in desperate need of these days!
